Presented by the city of Menton
After a long trip on all the seas of the globe, the explorer runs aground on a beach of sand and pebbles and discovers luxuriant vegetation in a paradisiacal place and decides to settle there.
Having taken with him some plants and seeds in boxes and barrels, he quickly notices that they adapt perfectly to their new environment.
This scene symbolises the creation of gardens in Menton when the British benefiting from the expansion of the railway, discovered this place in the late nineteenth century and settled there.
Its dreamlike nature sends us all back into our readings or childhood stories.
Garden designed and realised by the Green spaces Department of Menton.
A smaller replica of this garden will be on display at the Nice Côte d'Azur Airport Terminal 2 for the duration of the Festival.
