This is a wonderful story all about perfume and family... The story began in Grasse in 1926, when Eugène Fuchs opened a perfumery under the name Fragonard, in tribute to the famous painter from Grasse. The Fuchs and Costa families developed the company through the generations. The first premises has now been transformed into a factory and there are three different sites open to the public, where visitors can come and unveil the secrets of how our perfumes are made, and learn about the history of the perfumery. The women of the family also got involved in the family business: Anne, Agnès and Françoise Costa, joined their father at a very young age at the helm of the company to keep the business going, broadening their horizons along the way: lifestyle, fashion, accessories and exclusive gifts. Since its creation, the Fragonard perfumery has always been involved in promoting the French Riviera, the Pays de Grasse and know-how in the world of perfumes. It is only natural that Fragonard has been a partner of the Festival des Jardins every year since 2017, and will be once again for the 2023 edition on the theme of "Surprising Perspectives”.
