THE GARDEN

Like an open book, leafed through page by page, this garden invites you to find out about the districts of Mandelieu-La Napoule, step by step. Memories, stories, references to the past or present, in written form, a photograph, a painting or a sculpture, each district has its story to tell.

The walk begins in Capitou. It takes us into the wealth of its history around Mimosas, Eucalyptus and cane of Provence, from harvesting to basket-making. This space is comparable to the Parc de Marande, an arboretum of mimosa - named after the municipal archivist and writer who revealed the long history of Mandelieu-La Napoule.

In a corner of the eye, a spring emerges, it is time to find out about the banks of the Siagne which run along and cross Les Termes and its main road, an essential crossing point with the famous RN7 bordered by plane trees, one of which extends its branches to deposit a letter as if at a staging post!

After a break sitting on a bench, between the past and the present, we will escape through a frame in this natural setting the Esterel offers us and of which Minelle is the door ... Let's take to the rocky trails, from which emerge pines, oaks, arbutus and heathers!

Imagining we're coming back from long hikes, let's sit down at the seaside... the famous La Napoule which, from the shelter of palm trees and grasses, watches over its Château, toes in the water, a tribute to the work of the sculptor, Henry Clews.
