THE GARDEN

Fibre.

By definition: A thin, elongated, often flexible, element, traditionally taken from plants or animals, which is today synthetic.

In anatomy: Filamentary element which makes up some tissue and organs.

For the artist: The ability to be moved and be sensitive.

Fibre is this physical link between plants, humans and artists, the medium which weaving artists use to express themselves. The art of fibre is illustrated in this installation, like a dance stretched between the work and the artist, plants and canvas, the visitor and the garden.

Both monumental and private, the garden, called "The Artistic Fibre," offers an immersive experience in the process of creating a woven canvas, to pass from the real landscape to the artist's private landscape. This introspective walk through density showcases the relationship with time, with what we sense and with the body, along these filaments which create no border.

The woven canvas projects its filaments outside the studio and gives birth to the garden. Fibre is once again plant, the work breaks its confines and the artist lets the creation live.

THE TEAM

- Real size picture, .JPG 1.03Mo (Modal window)

Marion and Elodie, a creative pairing we challenge, sharing a common vision of showcasing the landscape to tell a story, a feeling, engage the body and personal projection.

As different as we are complementary, we can write and design together to give birth to a unique idea which each will express in their own language.

Strength and lightness, tension and fluidity, rooted and ethereal, density and transparency characterise the ambiguity of our two personalities which we have dared to combine and put at the service of the landscape project.
